Welcome to Elixir

  Elixir Raw Honey

Elixir Honey was born to provide honey as nature intended.  We kept a bee hive in our garden.  We marveled at the taste of the honey and loved watching the bees at work.    As more  people tasted our honey, they loved it too.  We needed more hives.  In 2003 we had to get out of the garden and into the forests!  We are based in the beautiful forests of the south west of Western Australia in Denmark.

All our hives are in Western Australia, a vast uncrowded land isolated by ocean and deserts.  In this clean seclusion our bees spend the long sunny days feasting on nectar from bush and forest blossoms.

Nothing artificial is added.  The use of pesticides and antibiotics is illegal in Western Australian bee keeping.  We then keep all the good things the bees have collected by gently taking the honey from the combs; we do not heat our honey, we filter by gravity and we don’t strain the good bits out. We tap into glass jars. So you get honey as nature intended.  Sometimes thick and sometimes runny.  Always with all the goodness of live enzymes, trace minerals and low GI.  And all the taste.

Often the coldest part of the year, with clear, cold nights and days, or warmer, rainy and windy periods. The first wildflower blossoms appear, including milkmaids, grey cottonhead, coral vine, white myrtle, rose bangine, yellow pea and mountain kunzea.

We've got a redgum harvest from Gingin, Marri from the South Western forests, and Wandoo coming.
