Well it's not raining in this photo - but our rain gauge is getting a work out finally this winter - thank goodness. The earth is having a good deep soak. We moved to Denmark knowing that we would get one meter of rain every year. Well I don;t think that's happened in ten years. But we'd like it to happen every year. This year rain came late and we've still (in early spring) got a dam that we'd like more full as it's our swimming pool and garden watering dam and fire protection. We also collect rain water off our roof and that's our drinking/washing/cleaning water for the year. As summer moves along our showers get shorter and shorter until the next rains come. This is the new deluxe rain gauge that catches the overflow in case we get a very heavy shower; Glenn writes down each rainfall on the calendar and then does a graph each year.
