In the last year and a half I have had the pleasure of getting to know a few home school mamas around town. What amazes me is that these lovely and inspiring women were here all along and I never knew about them. They have taught me so much. They are so kind and supportive. So clever and unique and respectful of themselves, their kids and each other. And Mandy from Spoonful of Goodness (see her on Facebook) did this awesome workshop with 13 kids aged 7-17 and they all came home with a glorious jar full of fermenting goodness. We also learned about the fact that your body carries three times the microbiomes as it does actual cells belonging to your own body and these have to be fed with pro and prebiotics. Fermented veg is a probiotic and jarrah honey is a prebiotic - which means it encourages this good bacteria to grow in your gut.
