Our Elixir Raw Honey tastes so good because we do not heat it, we gravity filter and we hand pack into glass jars. Raw honey contains all the good things that the bees get from the flower – all the live enzymes, vitamins and trace minerals. Raw honey also has a lower glycemic index (GI of 38 vs 65 for supermarket honey). We do not blend our honey. Each jar contains honey from a single site. Being raw honey, it is sometimes runny and sometimes set. We use our experience to carefully select varieties of honey suited to the raw state. As this honey will set, we will choose honey that sets with small crystals giving a naturally creamy texture. If you insist on runny honey – then heat it gently by standing the jar in hot water. Creamed honey is made from specially selected honeys that cream to a beautiful silky buttery texture. We seed this honey with honey that has already set to the desired texture. We then blend the honeys together to make Elixir Creamed Honey.
Mulled Wine Mix with honey, lemon and spices to be added to white or red wine and warmed to chase away chills.
Apricot Honey can be used as a topping for yogurt, toast or desserts, a meat marinade or eaten straight from the jar!
