I always look to the sleep of myself and my children when things start to overwhelm. A two year old needs 13 hours of sleep, a five year old, 11 hours. A ten year old needs 10 and 3/4 hours, a fourteen year old needs 9 hours and an eighteen year old needs 8 and 1/4 hours. Most adults need 8 hours and no more to spring out of bed refreshed and reinvigorated each morning.
Sleep is enhanced by a freshly made bed and a tidy bedroom, a bedtime routine, no screens and a determined putting aside of today and tomorrow and thinking only about what is happening to your body, part by part at this moment........zzzzzzz.
